Discoveries
In the past couple weeks I have learned (through various channels) about the work of 4 photographers that I had not known of prior. It is always such a delight when you come across new work that excites you. It can be days, weeks, and sometimes months when that does not occur, either because you are busy doing other things, or you are just not seeing stuff that excites you. When four excellent photographers drop into your consciousness - that's pretty cool!

I've stumbled upon Greg Girard's work about four years ago (through Phantom Shanghai) in a library, and something clicked in my mind. I sent him an email that very evening, and we have been corresponding ever since. I met him for the very first time a few weeks ago, when he was on a business trip in the UK. It's quite strange to see him mentioned here - I guess the whole thing, I mean that nice story, did set up a standart (something stating 'hey, photographers you admire sometimes do answer you') that greatly participates to the fact that deep inside, I'm still a tiny little bit disappointed by the fact that, even if I can imagine how busy it must be to be the photographer you are, you never answered my email. I'm sure it won't last much longer though.
Tripfang - who are you? I always try to respond to emails though I am a busy guy. Best to send it to my main email @ renaldi dot com I am on facebook but generally prefer not to correspond through it.
